Ephémère is the limited-edition champagne series that first rolled out in 2019 with the collaboration of two champagne families – Savart and Drémont Père et fils.
Frédéric Savart and Philippe Drémont are childhood friends, and they have been maintaining their friendship until they become adults through champagne.
Ephémère means ‘temporary, momentary’ in French, and it attempted to express the momentary happiness of champagne.
The three numbers, also the name of the wine, is the #th wine these two people have produced. Just like its name, Ephémère, the champagne produced once is not produced again. Thus, it can be considered priceless champagne that will never return. In Korea, starting with 001, it was released until 016.
Frédéric Savart is in charge of winemaking and aging, and Philippe Drémont oversees wine distribution and sales. Drémont Père et fils is a champagne distributor and Négociant in Sillery Grand Cru near Montagne de Reims. He had been emphasizing selling grapes but starting with champagne Ephémère, he began to make champagne. Champagne Ephémère is classified as an ND producer. ND stands for Négociant-Distributeur, meaning that the wine is commercialized under the name of the distributors themselves. Ephémère produces a small amount of champagne using the old vine grapes from the vineyard that they decided to work on with conviction. In particular, the winemaker Frederic Savart is managing 4 ha size land by dividing it into 50 micro-sized 1er Cru sections. Ephémère is produced in excellent zones of each Champagne area, manifesting various terroir for each number.
