Alexandre Lamblot, who reached the remarkable achievement at the 2020 Trophées Champenois by winning Producer of the year, is currently one of the most promising young producers in Champagne. In his early 30s, he inherited his family’s domaine in the village of Janvry in the Petite Montagne de Reims in 2010, taking charge of a 3.8hectare vineyard.

He took the risk of introducing new methods to preserve the terroir as naturally as possible. In 2016, despite his parents’ opposition, he switched to organic farming and began vinifying each plot separately to create champagne as close to nature as possible. He received organic certification in 2021.

He maintains a very low yield and harvests in a very short time when the temperature is low. The harvested grapes are placed in small baskets that hold 14 kg to maintain their freshness and prevent them from bursting under their own weight. The grapes are pressed very slowly and gently using traditional methods. The juices are separated optimally according to plots and barrels. Fermentation occurs naturally without enzymes. Very little or no sulphur is added. The wine is aged in barrels, demi-muids, eggs or jars for between 10 months and 3 years. Riddling and disgorging are done manually according to lunar cycles.
