François Petit-Boxler, originally from Champagne and Justine Petit-Boxler, originally from Alsace, took over a few plots inherited from their families in 2015.
La Rogerie is their Idéal commun (shared vision): to live the few acres of old vines planted on their respective family lands, without sacrificing either of their appellations of origin. In the Côte des Blancs, Champagne La Rogerie is taking care of 2.4 hectares of old vines under organic farming, stretching from Avize to Cramant and Oger boundaries.
The domaine produces only Grand Cru wines, favoring long aging in both barrels and bottles.
– 3 lieux-dits cuvées from Avize: “Chemin de Chalons”, “Champ-Bouton”, and “Haut du Moulin”
– 2 perpetual reserves cuvées with a common origin in the village of Avize: “Bourg/Sud” (South terroir of Avize and Oger boundaries) and “Bourg/Nord” (North terroir of Avize and Cramant boundaries).
Beside this lifetime journey, they are both cultivating and vinifying 1.2 hectares of Riesling and Pinot Noir in Alsace, as Justine has some roots from Niedermorschwihr. They release 6,000 bottles of Alsace wines(organic farming and natural vinification as well), as a tribute of Justine’s origin.
