My name is Changgeun Lee, and I’m honored to participate in Champagne Seoul as a sommelier.

For me, champagne is more than just “a wine of celebration.” It’s a story of precision, patience, and place. It’s a wine that doesn’t just sparkle in the glass, but speaks — of chalky soils, long winters, and the quiet persistence of its makers.

As a sommelier, I often ask not only how a wine is made, but why. And I believe champagne answers that question more delicately and complexly than any other wine. Every stream of bubbles carries with it decades of effort, tradition, and dialogue between nature and human hands.

In this event, I hope to go beyond the surface of champagne and share it not just as a wine, but as a culture, a philosophy, and a personal connection between producer and guest.

Even now — from the vineyards and cellars of Champagne to the glass in front of you — champagne continues to express itself.
And here at Champagne Seoul, I look forward to sharing my insights and interpretations, with the hope of sparking deeper appreciation and connection.
